WQED scored 12 wins during the first ever virtual Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy® Awards ceremony tonight. The honors included the coveted Community Service Emmy® and the station’s fifth Emmy® for Overall Excellence, a record in that category among stations in the Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

The Golden Quill Award winners were announced tonight during a virtual ceremony, and WQED is honored to have received 12 awards – a new station record. The honors included two “Best of Show” honors for overall excellence in broadcast journalism and video, and wins in the “Documentary” and “Multi-Platform Project” categories.
Additionally, the Golden Quill Awards honored Chris Moore with the 2020 President’s Award in lifetime achievement, presented annually by the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania.
