Chamber Music Pittsburgh presented the complete Brandenburg Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach at Carnegie Music Hall on November 24th, 2025. The concert featured members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra along with CMU students and faculty.
Sounds of the Neighborhood
On June 3, 2026, the Fred Rogers Institute held a concert titled “Sounds of the Neighborhood.” Pianists Gloria Cook and Cynthia Lawing played Fred and Joanne Rogers personal pianos in public for the first time. Recorded at the Fred Rogers Institute on the St. Vincent Campus.
Doug Starr – A Wilderness Cantata
In 2023, Doug Starr retired from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church after 30 years as Music Director. On May 19th, 2023, the premier of his “A Wilderness Cantata” took place at the church. The piece was conducted by Brian Gilling and featured soprano Kay Williams, mezzo soprano Eva Rainforth, tenor Rich Williams, and the Chancel Choir of St. Paul’s.
A Christopher Hahn Retrospective

Pittsburgh pianist Tina Faigen remembers her brother Scott Faigen who was a pianist in Mannheim, Germany. Scott passed away in January 2025.

Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic and Chorus 2025 December Concert
The CMU December concert, recorded on Friday December 5, 2025 at Carnegie Music Hall. Daniel Nesta Curtis conducts the Respighi’s Fountains and Pines of Rome and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride. Thomas Douglas conducts the Carnegie Mellon Chorus in Ki Mitzion arranged by Robert Page and a Welsh Lullaby. The Chorus and Philharmonic join forces for Bach’s Magnificat.
Bach’s “St. Markus Passion” with Chatham Baroque
A broadcast of Chatham Baroque’s production of the Bach St. Markus Passion at Carnegie Music Hall on April 11th, 2025. Chatham Baroque partnered with New York City-based companies Concert Theatre Works and The Sebastians to imagine this work in a gripping theatrical format narrated by acclaimed actor Joseph Marcell as the Evangelist.
