Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic and Chorus 2025 December Concert

The CMU December concert, recorded on Friday December 5, 2025 at Carnegie Music Hall. Daniel Nesta Curtis conducts the Respighiโ€™s Fountains and Pines of Rome and Leroy Andersonโ€™s Sleigh Ride. Thomas Douglas conducts the Carnegie Mellon Chorus in Ki Mitzion arranged by Robert Page and a Welsh Lullaby. The Chorus and Philharmonic join forces for Bachโ€™s Magnificat.

Bach’s “St. Markus Passion” with Chatham Baroque

A broadcast of Chatham Baroqueโ€™s production of the Bach St. Markus Passion at Carnegie Music Hall on April 11th, 2025. Chatham Baroque partnered with New York City-based companies Concert Theatre Works and The Sebastians to imagine this work in a gripping theatrical format narrated by acclaimed actor Joseph Marcell as the Evangelist.

Spotlight on African American Composers

On May 29, 2025, members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra held a concert titled โ€œSpotlight on African American Composers.โ€ The concert was held at St. James AME Church and featured music of Kevin Day, Adolphus Hailstork, Jeff Scott, and Valerie Coleman.
