Dr. Wilson has been an educator for over 40 years while holding various leadership positions.  She served as Dean of Student Development for the Allegheny Campus of the Community College of Allegheny County.  She worked closely with the Pittsburgh Promise and oversaw federal and state grants.  Dr. Wilson has also held the positions of Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in the Woodland Hills School District and was Principal in the Woodland Hills and Wilkinsburg School Districts.

Dr. Wilson is a past board member of Healthy Start, Pittsburgh Inc., A+ Schools, The Ellis School Board of Trustees, and the Rankin Christian Center.

Dr. Wilson feels WQED has provided children educational experiences through quality programing and educational initiatives for many years. Serving on the Board of WQED provides her with an opportunity to support its mission by utilizing her experience and commitment to education.

Dr. Wilson has a Doctor of Education, Letter of Eligibility, and Master of Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College.

Dr. Wilson is a resident of Penn Hills.
