Dr. Millie Myers is Teaching Professor of Management Communication Emerita at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. She is also an active management consultant, working primarily with senior executives on relationships with the news media. She has been quoted as a management communications expert in The Wall Street Journal, The Baltimore Sun, The Indianapolis Star, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Pittsburgh Business Times, and The Syracuse Post.  Her eight-part radio series on business communication was broadcast on American Entrepreneur Radio.

Dr. Myers is the author of two books and co-author of three others, and her articles have been published in several professional and academic journals. Her reviews of new books on organizational communication, marketing and public relations, women in business, and corporate social responsibility appear regularly in CHOICE, a book-selection journal for academic libraries.

Dr. Myers and her late husband, Dr. Bill Frederick, began their WQED involvement as FM Angels. Dr. Myers was elected to the WQED Board of Directors in 2012 and recently completed a five-year term as Board Chair.

She is also Board Chair of Aria 412 Pittsburgh and Co-Chair of the Board of Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. Formerly, Dr. Myers was a longtime Board and Executive Committee member of the Pittsburgh Symphony and also served on the boards of YWCA Pittsburgh and Carlow University.
