Bill Flanagan, an experienced broadcast journalist, has told the story of the transformation of the economy across the Pittsburgh region for more than 40 years. He serves as host and producer of “Our Region’s Business,” a weekly business public affairs program now in its 20th year on WPXI-TV, WPXI.com/ORB, the Pittsburgh Cable News Channel (PCNC), and YouTube. The program is produced in partnership with Allegheny Conference on Community Development where Mr. Flanagan currently serves as a Special Advisor after 21-years as its Chief Corporate Relations Officer. Mr. Flanagan previously served as Executive Director of Pittsburgh 250 from 2004 – 2008 and as president of The Pittsburgh G-20 Partnership in 2009.
Mr. Flanagan is a member of the boards of The Advanced Leadership Institute, The Economic Club of Pittsburgh, La Promesa Foundation, Rivers of Steel, and is a past member of the boards of Leadership Pittsburgh, Inc. and Life’s Work, the Penn State Greater Allegheny Advisory Board, and the National Academies of Science and Engineering Ambassador Advisory Committee.
Mr. Flanagan and his wife, Ann Devlin Flanagan, are the parents of two children, Will and the late Mara Catherine.
