Direct from Broadway, the musical American Idiot tells the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. Based on Green Day's album of hits including "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "21 Guns," and the title track, this show is directed by Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening), choreographed by Steven Hoggett (Black Watch) and orchestrated by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal).

This Tony award-winning musical follows a group of adolescent students as they struggle with sexual repression and double standards from teachers and parents, leading to more confusion and pain. A world-premiere ballet by Maria Caruso in two acts, in tribute to The Highmark Caring Place. With an original score by Nancy Galbraith, the ballet is based on stories of the children themselves, examining the grieving process of children who are experiencing the loss of a parent or loved one.

A Kind of Alchemy: Medieval Persian Ceramics
This exhibition provides a beautiful and fascinating look at the diversity of ceramics made in ancient Persia (what is now present-day Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan). Produced for both the luxury and middle-class markets, these vessels, bowls, pitchers, and bottles reflect numerous cultural and artistic influences and an aesthetic sensibility that seems startling modern.
