Franz Mohr and the Horowitz Steinway Franz Mohr, Steinway's Chief Technician since 1965, worked closely with Horowitz, Cliburn, Rubinstein and others. He will appear with the piano that Horowitz played wherever he performed, and which Mohr gave its signature brilliant tone and lightning-quick action. Young pianists will play the instrument.
