The repertoire is a soulful blend of American music from a wide range of eras and sources compiled with the philosophy that a good song\u2014like good food\u2014always proves itself relevant. Individually, the Turpentiners have performed in numerous well-regarded Pittsburgh ensembles including Coal Train,\u00a0The Johnsons, Truth and Rights, Ploughman\u2019s Lunch,\u00a0Mac Martin &amp; the Dixie Travelers, The Allegheny Rhythm Kings, and The B3s. Members are\u00a0Ben\u00a0Hartlage (guitar\/vocals), Adam Frew (upright bass), Megan Williams (violin\/vocals\/washboard), Ron\u00a0Mesing\u00a0(dobro) and Stu\u00a0Braun (harmonica).
