The American people lost the war, not us...

I served with a company of heroes, Echo 2/7 First Marine Division. The politicians and protestors lost it (the war). We had them -- the North Vietnamese -- on the ropes. A couple more days of bombing, they would have surrendered. It was at the same at the Battle of Tet. We had them defeated and they knew it.

They were causing more disruption in America than we could in the battlefields. The American people lost the war, not us. It was a very sad display of ignorance. The Vietnam veterans knew this but couldn’t relay the message to the American people. I will never forgive the American people for what they did. And some people still don’t realize what they did. I lost 88 brothers in my company from 1965 to 1975. And I will never forget my brothers as long as I live.
