WQED Multimedia received a Media and Mental Health Award from the Entertainment Industries Council, which recognizes high-quality, accurate reporting on behavioral health issues in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The awards were presented during a ceremony at the Heinz History Center.

The Telly Awards has recognized WQED's Global Leaders: The Next Generation with the 2013 Bronze Award in the category of TV Programs - Social Responsibility. The documentary was produced by Gina Catanzarite in conjunction with the 2012 One Young World Summit held in Pittsburgh.

April 18, 2013

WQED's Chris Moore was recognized with the Bill Burns Award for his many years of service to journalism. Named for the legendary KDKA news anchor, the honor is bestowed annually at the Art Rooney Awards event, which honors people who have made outstanding contributions in media, sports, community service and more.

WQED Multimedia has won the 29th edition of the John Hervey Award for excellence in broadcasting for a feature on Dave Palone becoming the winningest driver in North American harness racing history. The honor is presented by the U.S. Harness Writers Association to recognize excellence in harness racing journalism.
