Join WQED for Summer of Sebak, a celebration of Rick Sebak’s 50 years in public broadcasting.

Throughout his career, Rick has followed his curiosity, found good stories, shared local history, and reminded us why ordinary places are often anything but ordinary.

All summer long, we’re bringing back the programs neighbors ask for again and again – including Kennywood Memories, The Strip Show, A Hot Dog Program, 25 Things I Like About Pittsburgh, and What Makes Pittsburgh Pittsburgh? – as well as some that haven’t aired in a while. Every Thursday night and Saturdays at noon on WQED-TV, we’ll revisit the interesting places, colorful characters, shared stories, and local history that make Pittsburgh feel like home.

Be a part of Summer of Sebak!

To help Rick celebrate his 50 years in public broadcasting, we’re inviting all our neighbors (that’s you!) to record a special video message sharing your favorite moments from Rick’s programs. These moments will be shared on our social media channels all summer long.
