Chamber Music of Pittsburgh Presents The Dover Quartet

The Dover Quartet having been named one of the best quartets of the past 100 years by BBC Music Magazine.

They have also won top prizes from the Fischoff Competition, Banff, Avery Fisher, Lincoln Center and Cleveland prizes. This month, they are coming to Pittsburgh for a concert presented by Chamber Music Pittsburgh.

It is an American theme featuring Dvorak’s American Quartet along with Jessie Montgomery’s Strum. The discussion revolves around the Chickasaw Nation influences on Jerod’s work, the question of how American the Dvorak American Quartet is, what’s new at the Curtis Institute where the Dover is in residence.
