Beo String Quartet

The Beo String Quartet are back in Pittsburgh! Brothers Sean Neukom and Jason Neukom of the quartet, discuss with WQED-FM their upcoming concert at City of Asylum on Tuesday, February 27th at 7pm. They highlight their genre-bending program that includes a new work by Sean that describes a story his mother once told him. Also included in the program is Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8, which they played live in WQED-FM’s studios and is featured on this podcast. Jason and Sean also tackle what it means to be genre-bending, and what is next on the horizon for the group.
