An Evening in Brussels - November 6, 2019
The members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra arrived safe and sound in Brussels, after their 5 hour bus ride from Paris. Thursday night, the orchestra performs their next to last concert of this tour at the Bozar Centre for the Fine Arts with music of MacMillan, Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff. In this tour report Jim Cunningham spoke with violinists Alison Fujito and Ken Johnston about last night's concert in Paris; the hall; and what makes Matthias Goerne, who sang Lieder of Schubert and Strauss, such a special artist.
