"Birthday of the World" presents some of the most inspiring music in the Jewish liturgical tradition performed by the acclaimed vocal ensemble The Western Wind. The program also features ancient chants and folk melodies from four guest cantors and several noted singers.

WQED-FM 89.3 presents "Music for the High Holidays."

This one-hour program for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, includes some great listener-friendly liturgical music, as well as concert music based on High Holidays melodies.

Legendary violinist Itzhak Perlman guides the listener through the traditions of the Jewish High Holidays, sharing music, personal recollections and even a recipe or two! His musical tastes cover a wide spectrum from cantorial to classical to klezmer; his voice and stories are uniquely welcoming to all listeners.
