WE CROSSED THE RIVER is a multi-media collaboration between Dominican-American novelist Angie Cruz (author of Let It Rain Coffee, Soledad, and the widely acclaimed Dominicana) and composer Eric Moe about the detention of children in camps at the U.S. border. Cruz bases her text on the searing testimonios of detainees.

This newly expanded version of the work is directed by Cynthia Croot with music director Roger Zahab and features video artwork by Aaron Henderson. The program also features works for chamber ensemble by Jimena Maldonado and into figgis-vizueta.
