Tatiana Bilbao: City of Rooms
September 28 @ 9:00 am
In City of Rooms, Tatiana Bilbao makes an immersive exhibition focused on domesticity, communal space, and urban living. In this installation tailored to the Heinz Architectural Center galleries, Bilbao (born 1972) and her Mexico City-based practice Tatiana Bilbao ESTUDIO address the functions of residential design—cooking, bathing, sleeping—to question domesticity and our everyday use of space. Animated by drawings and objects from Bilbao’s office, the exhibition communicates architecture filled with incident and capable of change across time. Collectively, these rooms come together to suggest a harmonious urban fabric, a City of Rooms.City of Rooms is organized by Raymund Ryan, curator-at-large, Heinz Architectural Center.
