Sleeping Beauty at the Andrew Carnegie Music Hall

The fabled children’s play, Sleeping Beauty, will be presented by the Carnegie Performing Arts Center Saturday, February 28, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 1 at 2 pm. at the Andrew Carnegie Music Hall, 300 Beechwood Avenue in Carnegie. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for children, students and seniors and are available by following the ticket link at www.carnegieperformingartscenter.com. Tickets are also available at the door an hour before performances.
The play follows the story of young Sleeping Beauty, Aurora, whose christening is interrupted by the evil Fairy of Mischief who has been left out of the invitation. The Fairy of Mischief casts a spell that decrees that Aurora will die on her 16th birthday by pricking her finger on a spindle. The Fairy of Strength, who has not yet given her gift, says that Aurora will not die but only sleep for a hundred years until a Prince awakens her.

A cast of over 40 children perform in the play, including Fairy Tale characters, Princesses and Fairies. Monica Ryan, director of the Center, directs the production.
