Award-winning opera tenor Shawn Roth will return to Johnstown for a special homecoming concert at The Grand Halle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The program’s first half will feature German poetry set to music by Schumann, Schubert, Wagner, and Mahler. Then, following intermission, Roth will perform a number of English-language pieces by Aaron Copeland, Benjamin Britten, John Kander and Ernest Charles, highlighting the rich tradition of American classical music.

Tickets are priced at $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for students and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
