MUSIC FOR THE FEAST OF ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA
On the eve of the feast of St. Anthony of Padua at the the Shrine of St. Anthony Chapel, the Renaissance City Winds will
present a program of organ and winds: “Pipes, Reeds and Horns”. Featuring the RCW ensemble and collaborating artist,
organist, Mark Brampton Smith. The program will include the Saint Anthony Chorale,by Franz Joseph Haydn as well as works
by Johann Wilhelm Hertel, John Knowles Paine, Mildred Gardner and Wind”s bassoonist & resident composer, R. James Whipple.
For a half century the Renaissance City Winds is one Pennsylvania”s foremost professional Chamber ensembles.
