Join us for an evocative choral-orchestral concert featuring three powerful works: Joel Thompson’s “Seven Last Words of the Unarmed,” Julia Perry’s “Stabat Mater,” and Leonard Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms.” This collaborative program brings together the Resonance Chamber Orchestra, a new chamber choir, and acclaimed mezzo-soprano Lucia Bradford under the direction of Maria Sensi Sellner. Created in partnership with Dr. Herbert V.R.P. Jones (founder of The Heritage Gospel Chorale of Pittsburgh), Demareus Cooper, and Robert Frankenberry, the concert presents contemporary American interpretations of ancient musical forms, exploring themes of justice, sorrow, and peace.
