Pittsburgh Tartan Day 2025
April 5 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
FreeOn April 6, 1320 the Declaration of Arbroath was signed asserting Scotland’s sovereignty over England’s territorial claims. This commemorates the signing of Scotland’s Declaration of Independence. This day is set aside every year by Scottish-Americans to reflect on and celebrate their heritage. On March 20, 1998, the US Senate Resolution 155 was passed declaring April 6th as National Tartan Day. Throughout the country, there are festivals and parades celebrating this day. This year celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the passing of US Senate Resolution 155 declaring April 6th as National Tartan Day.
St. Andrew’s Society of Pittsburgh will once again host a Pittsburgh Tartan Day on April 5, 2025 in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. It is our 10th Anniversary Celebrating at Bethel Presbyterian Church. The event is free to the public. There will be entertainment from bagpipers, fiddlers, singers, as well as highland and country dancers and Celtic workshops and Clans. Scottish food, raffles and vendors offering tartan gifts and jewelry will be available for purchase.
