Based in the heart of the Monongahela National Forest in Elkins, West Virginia, the Solar Ant Arts Collective is gaining recognition as a model for creating change in their communities. Members join from across the region working in a variety of mediums from professional artists to hobbyists. In Our Appalachia, curated by Griffin Nordstrom, eleven artists from the collective are highlighted to negotiate various themes in their work including environmental issues, identity, placemaking, and what it means to be Appalachian. Our Appalachia will be on view from November 20, 2025 to February 14, 2026. Our gallery hours are always free and open to the public. We’re open Monday-Wednesday by appointment, Thursdays from 2–7 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 11–4 pm.
