Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks- Macbeth
Blood will have blood.
Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks’ bold new production of MACBETH shows the characters trapped in a supernatural limbo, doomed to relive their dark story over and over again. In the ruined aftermath of a bloody civil war, Macbeth is propelled towards the crown by forces of elemental darkness. Madness born of ambition sets in, and he and his wife seize power by all possible means as they descend into a labyrinth of blood, destruction, and the madness of how two people so passionately in love with one another become irredeemable monsters. Don’t miss this dark, visceral reimagining of Shakespeare’s tragedy — where fate is a loop, and there’s no escape.
