Japanese Noh theater lecture/demonstration with “Living National Treasure” Hisa Uzawa and Hikaru Uzawa
March 31 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeThis 1.5 hour lecture demonstration includes a short presentation on the medieval noh drama — the world’s oldest continually performed dramatic form — and then an abbreviated performance of the play “Kiyotsune,” about a war widow whose grief brings the ghost of her fallen husband to visit her. A unique and rare opportunity to experience the performance of a recognized noh master performer; free but pre-registration strongly encouraged.
