Academy Concerts presents HaydnBurgh.

HaydnBurgh is a project dedicated solely to the performance of string quartets by the great master of the genre, the “Father of the String Quartet,” Joseph Haydn. This program will feature one of Haydn’s early quartets, the rarely performed Opus 9, #1 in C major; a fiendishly difficult quartet from Haydn’s middle period, Op. 50 #4 in F# minor; and one of the last quartets he wrote, an audience favorite, Op. 77, #1 in G.

Artists for this concert will be Warren Davidson and Ashley Freeburn, violin, Rachel McGuire, viola, and Michael Lipman, cello.

Sewickley Presbyterian church is a vibrant faith community with a beautiful sanctuary and picturesque stained glass. There is a wheel-chair ramp off of the Grant Street entrance to the sanctuary.
