George Lange is a photographer who has boomeranged back to Pittsburgh (to the house he grew up in!). He’s taken iconic pictures like the “Must See TV” ads for Friends, Seinfeld, etc. as well as worked for Annie Leibowitz, Vanity Fair, NYT, and others. He has a studio/gallery where he sells his images and what’s SUPER exciting is that he has a book coming out! We’d like to put on everyone’s calendars that the book, “Picturing Joy: Stories of Connection” will be featured (and on sale) at an Open House at George’s studio in Garfield (5427 Penn Ave) on Saturday, November 11 from 2-6. George will be there to sign. (also available at all major retailers online.)
The book is full of George’s pictures and the stories of joy and connection behind them. What makes it truly special is there are both famous people (Sophia Loren, YoYo Ma…) and local Pittsburghers, including Mayor Gainey and Mars Jackson among others. The book makes a great gift. It’s little (8×8) and there’s something in it for everyone.
