Deeper than Why: How Connecting to Heart Purpose Changes Our Lives and the World

January 31 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

Grit and resilience are key to our success in a rapidly changing world and foundational to that work is the deep work of purpose. As one of the first women to fly the Apache helicopter in the U.S. Army, leading line units on three continents, Shannon Huffman Polson combines her passion and firsthand experience in and study of leadership, grit, purpose, and story to help others develop these important skills.

In this event, she will expand on her work, The Grit Factor, to explore the science, practice, and spirit of purpose, providing tactical concepts that attendees can immediately bring into their own lives and work. Lunch is provided free of charge to all attendees.

Following her lecture, Ms. Huffman Polson will sign books.

This event is presented by the Hesselbein Forum for Leadership and the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.
