The Carnegie Mellon University All University Orchestra presents its spring concert on Sunday, March 29th at 4:30 PM at Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland. Under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Klefstad, the orchestra will perform three outstanding works: Mozart’s graceful and sparkling Flute Concerto No. 2, Bizet’s vibrant and colorful Carmen Suite No. 1, drawn from his beloved opera; and Shostakovich’s witty, energetic, and at times sardonic Symphony No. 9. This diverse program showcases the orchestra’s versatility, ranging from Classical elegance to Romantic drama and 20th-century brilliance. Join us for an afternoon of exceptional music-making by CMU’s talented student musicians.
