Ciphers to this Great Accompt (A Shakespeare-themed Puppet Slam)
Join us at the Ice House Studios, Lawrenceville, for our fourth annual puppet slam — an unforgettable evening of live and filmed short puppet performances by local, national, and international artists—all inspired by Shakespeare’s plays, poetry, and life. Watch Shakespeare vs. Sockspeare, ponder whether a bee or not a bee, root for Gertrude as she takes on Hamlet Sr. in the afterlife, and more! Registration Required (see form on our website: www.PittsburghShakespeare.org)
Interested but out of town? Register for a free remote ticket to receive a link to the recorded show, viewable for one week only after the performance. Supported by the Puppet Slam Network.
The Ciphers puppet slam is part of our Week of Will – a week long celebration of Shakespeare’s birthday. Other events include the Bard Walk in Schenley Plaza on Saturday April 19, at 2:00: have a cupcake on us at the Shakespeare statue in front of the Carnegie Museum, then wander over to Schenley Plaza to stroll through the park and watch PSiP actors demonstrate the infinite variety we bring to performance with scenes and soliloquys remixed, including Yinzer, Spanish, singing, and dance. Our Week of Will will finish up with Ciphers to this Great Accompt, a Shakespeare-themed puppet slam on Sunday April 27 at 7:00 at the Ice House Studios, Lawrenceville — an unforgettable evening of live and filmed short puppet performances by local, national, and international artists—all inspired by Shakespeare’s plays, poetry, and life. See our website www. PittsburghShakespeare.org for registration and details.
