Bard Walk in Schenley Park
Have a cupcake on us and Mrs. Shakespeare at the Shakespeare statue in front of the Carnegie Museum at 2:00, then wander over to Schenley Plaza to stroll through the park and watch PSiP actors demonstrate the infinite variety we bring to performances with scenes and soliloquys remixed, including Yinzer, Spanish, singing, and even dance.
The Bard Walk is part of our Week of Will – a week long celebration of Shakespeare’s birthday. Other events include a reading of Macbeth at CMU with a private viewing for attendees of CMU’s copy of the Shakespeare’s first folio. The Week of Will will finish up with Ciphers to this Great Accompt, a Shakespeare-themed puppet slam on Sunday April 27 at 7:00 at the Ice House Studios, Lawrenceville — an unforgettable evening of live and filmed short puppet performances by local, national, and international artists—all inspired by Shakespeare’s plays, poetry, and life. See our website www.PittsburghShakespeare.org for registration and details.
