Thank you so much for all your tireless work on the Elizabeth Black Project. I’m sure it means a great deal to many families. My father’s portrait hung in our house for as long as I can remember and I never thought to ask the story behind it. Perhaps at that point they knew nothing more than a traveling artist was doing soldier’s portraits for their families. Both my parents had passed by the time I saw your program and understood the history behind the portrait and the Elizabeth Black story. WWII, as sad as it was, is an important part of our country’s history and my history. I feel so fortunate to have a visible reminder of my father’s involvement and also Elizabeth Black’s talent. Thank you, Judy Porter Browell, Connellsville, PA - November 19, 2015
