I have one of the portraits that Elizabeth Black did of my Father, Sgt. Howard G. Waldman, in Winchester, England on May 12, 1944. This is by chance that we found out about your project. The other evening my wife watched a documentary on PBS about Elizabeth Black. She was telling me about it, and that the drawings of the soldiers looked like the one that my father had shown us decades ago. So, I went into some of my father's old things that we had stored since he died in 1996 and sure enough, there it was with Elizabeth Black's signature on it.
