I had never seen the original sketch Elizabeth Black drew. Receiving this photo of the sketch is truly a long lost treasure and a window into my dad's past. My dad never talked about his service during WWII. I knew he was in France because when my brother and I asked if he would take us camping, he would state he did all his camping in France and that was enough for a lifetime. My deepest gratitude to all who have made it possible for my family to acquire a wonderful glimpse into that window of my father's past.
