When my sister and I found this portrait after my dad passed away we were thrilled because my parents lost most of their possessions in 1965 when hurricane Betsy flooded their home. Along with the Elizabeth Black portrait, we found two old scrapbooks in my dad's house, one with photos and one with mementos from WW2, mostly cards and letters my dad sent to my mom while overseas. -Penny Gaudin, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, December 13, 2014.
