SongSpace Presents the Squirrel Hillbillies with Louie Castle and Madeline Jo & Friends
The Squirrel Hillbillies (http://www.squirrelhillbillies.com/) -- are returning to the SongSpace stage in January! From deep within the urban forest of Pittsburgh's East End, the Squirrel Hillbillies often emerge to share their eclectic mix of acoustic roots music, spanning folk, country and blues. Rabidly social and clawingly curious, they relish opportunities to interact with diverse audiences. They have performed hundreds of shows across the US and the UK.
The show will open with two more Pittsburgh treasures, Louie Castle (https://www.facebook.com/louiecastleoffical) and Madeline Jo & Friends (https://www.facebook.com/madelinejoandfriends). Madeline Jo and Friends have played all around town, from James Simon's Sculpture Studio to the Millvale Music Festival. Infectious indie folk! You can hear Louie Castle's blend of Latin roots, rap, psychedelic rock, gospel and freestyling everywhere from The Saturday Light Brigade community radio show to The Abbey in Lawrenceville and The Rocks Landing Bar & Grille in McKeesport.
It's a feast of Pittsburgh winter cheer! You won't want to miss it!
Interviews with the performers Wednesday Jan 25 on “Whiskey Before Breakfast” (WRCT) and Saturday Jan 28 on “The Saturday Light Brigade” (WRCT).
