The Pittsburgh Chinese-American community comes together on Saturday, 01/18 to celebrate the Year of the Rat with programs for audiences of all ages!

The Year of the Rat is the first year of the 12-year Chinese zodiac, and people born in the Year of the Rat are clever, likeable, optimistic, sensitive, and are good savers… sometimes to the point of hoarding! But the Chinese-American community will most certainly not hoard our cultural treasures, and are most eager to share with everyone the start of a new year through both traditional and contemporary song and dance, Peking Opera, instrumental performances, and quite a few other surprises that will certainly delight everyone. Talent will not be limited to just the local community, of which there is plenty, but have even been recruited from China itself. Don’t miss this exciting cultural event that will bring warmth and enjoyment for the whole family!
