Get to know Pittsburgh’s growing independent film community

Crew Connects are events held throughout the year to provide networking and project promotion within Pittsburgh’s growing independent film community.

We connect independent filmmakers looking for crew to individuals who are looking for on-set experience. Crew Connect events are a vital tool within the emerging filmmaker community.

Special Guest Speaker: Nathaniel Blume

We’re excited to welcome Nathaniel Blume as this month’s featured guest speaker! As one of the most dynamic composers working on screen today, Nathaniel’s talent for crafting memorable musical interplays can be heard on more than 500 episodes of television. Blume was the composer for Prodigal Son (FOX) working alongside Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver to craft a unique score by sampling surgical tools and medical instruments. He is also the co-composer for The Flash (CW), Arrow (CW), and Deception (ABC) and has also contributed additional music for Venom: The Last Dance (Sony), Supergirl (CBS), and Resurrection (ABC).

Grab a coffee or sweet treat from Pour Johnny’s, meet new collaborators, and invest in yourself and your craft to kick off the new year on the right note! We can’t wait to see you there.
