A Message from Point Park University
As part of our continued partnership with WQED, we are pleased to offer a special invitation to WQED students to join our Summer Film and Animation programs. Join a group of like-minded storytellers as you learn the essentials of film production. Our programs offer pre-professional, intensive hands-on education in narrative filmmaking, with collaboration at its core. Please note that these high school programs are all on a first-come, first-serve basis and offer an intimate class size.
Our Film and Animation Summer Programs are designed for high school students, and include the following:
- 2D Animation Intensive (June 15 – June 27, 2025)
- 3D Animation Intensive (June 15 – June 27, 2025)
- Film Intensive (June 15 – June 27, 2025)
- Screenwriting Intensive (June 15 – June 20, 2025)
To support families during this transitional time, we are honoring and matching any previously communicated WQED Creator Academy program fees. When you register using our CampDoc platform, you will be prompted to pay a program deposit fee up front. Please email the Office of Pre-College Programs at precollege@pointpark.edu with your original program fees and we will manually make adjustments to your account balance.
If the above dates might not work for you for a summer program, we have a list of other non-audition summer programs that we can honor the program fees for. Some of our programs are currently full or on a waitlist, but CampDoc will indicate that for you.
Point Park University additionally offers campus housing for all of our summer programs. If you wish to live on campus, we do have limited availability for on-campus housing at an additional fee.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. We’re here to help make this a smooth and exciting next step for your student.
