Rona Nesbit
Rona Nesbit is a respected nonprofit executive and longtime advocate for the arts, now Special Advisor to the President of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Over the past 26 years at the Trust โ including 15 years as Executive Vice President โ she has overseen fiscal management, capital project development, real estate strategy, and the stewardship of a $40 million endowment. Ms. Nesbit has played a key leadership role in board governance, organizational development, and cultural investment throughout Pittsburghโs Cultural District.
A native of the region, Ms. Nesbit is passionate about WQEDโs role as an educational and cultural force in southwestern Pennsylvania. Having grown up with Mister Rogersโ Neighborhood, she believes in the transformative power of public media to inspire, inform, and unite. She is especially excited to support WQEDโs mission through her experience in finance, fundraising, and nonprofit governance.
Ms. Nesbit has served on numerous nonprofit boards including the Womenโs Center and Shelter, Women and Girls Foundation, CORO Pittsburgh, Bridgeway Capital, and Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre. She is also a member of the International Womenโs Forum, Pittsburgh Chapter. She lives in the North Hills.
