Rona Nesbit

Rona Nesbit is a respected nonprofit executive and longtime advocate for the arts, now Special Advisor to the President of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Over the past 26 years at the Trust โ€” including 15 years as Executive Vice President โ€” she has overseen fiscal management, capital project development, real estate strategy, and the stewardship of a $40 million endowment. Ms. Nesbit has played a key leadership role in board governance, organizational development, and cultural investment throughout Pittsburghโ€™s Cultural District.

A native of the region, Ms. Nesbit is passionate about WQEDโ€™s role as an educational and cultural force in southwestern Pennsylvania. Having grown up with Mister Rogersโ€™ Neighborhood, she believes in the transformative power of public media to inspire, inform, and unite. She is especially excited to support WQEDโ€™s mission through her experience in finance, fundraising, and nonprofit governance.

Ms. Nesbit has served on numerous nonprofit boards including the Womenโ€™s Center and Shelter, Women and Girls Foundation, CORO Pittsburgh, Bridgeway Capital, and Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre. She is also a member of the International Womenโ€™s Forum, Pittsburgh Chapter. She lives in the North Hills.
