Robyn Vittek
Chair, Community Advisory Board
Robyn E. Vittek has served as Director of Mt. Lebanon Public Library in Allegheny County since November 2015. Vittek’s previous career in Ohio included work at three other public library systems. In addition to a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University, she earned an M.S. in Education from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and a B.A. in English from The Ohio State University. Vittek is a Rotarian and a Lion.
Vittek was appointed to WQED’s Community Advisory Board in 2017 and has served as Chair since 2023. During her tenure, she worked to strengthen the bonds between WQED’s Education Department and libraries, which has included facilitating partnership meetings between WQED and the State Library of Pennsylvania and coordinating WQED’s sponsorship of the 2024 Pennsylvania Library Association keynote speaker, PBS Librarian-in-Residence Mychal Threets.
Vittek looks forward to furthering WQED’s partnerships with libraries and empowering the members of WQED’s Community Advisory Board to advocate and promote public media in the region.
Vittek represents WQED constituent interests in both Mt. Lebanon and her native Ohio Valley where she owns a home with her husband, Lewis.
