Marcie Callan
A seasoned communicator, entrepreneur, strategist, and civil servant, Marcie Callan is the Director of Local Government Affairs Policy and Operations for Comcast, a global media and technology company. Responsible for developing best practices and procedures to support Comcast’s network expansion, Marcie drives results through collaboration, hard work, and a keen ability to see around corners.
Prior to joining the cable and telecommunications industry, Marcie was the Deputy District Director for Congressman Conor Lamb, serving Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional district, where she helped to convey the real-world impact of policy and legislative action to constituents and community stakeholders. Before her government service, she founded and operated a successful small business in downtown Pittsburgh while raising her young family and serving on her local borough council.
A passionate volunteer, Marcie currently serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) and the West Virginia Cable Television Association, and is a member of the Public Policy Committee of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. In 2022, she was elected by voters in her home County of Washington to represent them as a State Committeeperson for her political party.
Marcie brings her entrepreneurial spirit and servant leadership to the board of WQED, where she is eager to honor the storied legacy of the nation’s first community-supported television station while helping guide its future.
