Program Title: An Evening With Wood’s Tea Company

National Release Date: March 5, 2005

Rights Period: Unlimited PTV releases beginning 3/5/2005 thru 3/4/2009

Description of the Program: The Wood's Tea Co. is one of the hardest touring folk groups in America having toured to 46 states in the last two years. They are known for their vocal harmonies and skillful musicianship. The group is based in Vermont, so in an increasingly rare home state appearance in May of 2003 at The Vergennes Opera House, Vermont Public Television produced a television special.

The show captures the band’s rapport with an intimate audience and is filled with humor, sentiment and good music. The group weaves a musical trail through rousing sea shanties, lively folk music, spirited bluegrass and haunting Celtic ballads. The music featured in the program is a mixture of some traditional songs like "The Bullgine" & "The Wild Rover," cover songs including "Lonesome Traveler" & "This Land Is Your Land," as well as some of the groups own material "Foolish Questions." "The Fireman" and "Lift and Tow.”
