A Blog Along The Lincoln Highway

All of this is about a public TV project about one of America’s great roads, and we’re hoping you might enjoy reading about some of our behind-the-scenes work. I’m Rick Sebak, and I write most of the tales. Bob Lubomski is our cameraman. And Glenn Syska has been traveling with us recently. He made the video blog entries in 2008. Back in 2007, Jarrett Buba did all that. A RIDE ALONG THE LINCOLN HIGHWAY first aired on PBS on October 29, 2008 at 8 PM. Check with your local PBS station to find out about repeat broadcasts. And I was watching Letterman.

Let’s hear it for Jay Leno! He mentioned A RIDE ALONG THE LINCOLN HIGHWAY last night near the end of his monologue on the TONIGHT SHOW. Said it was a good show! Tried to make some lame joke about men using that phrase as a euphemistic phrase for some sexual shenanigans. It bombed but who cares about his joke? The mention is all that counts.

    That is so awesome! I’m not up late enough to watch Leno (or my favorite, Conan) anymore, but I would have squealed out loud if I would have heard that as it aired!

    I know you’re up to more than 150k results when “A Ride Along the Lincoln Highway” is googled. I wonder how many people googled it after hearing Leno mention it!

    What would it take to collect enough sponsors to drive the entire Lincoln Highway by an electric car

    The highway made history now it is time to do it again
