WHAT'S THE FELLOWSHIP ALL ABOUT?
Pittsburgh City Councilman Bill Peduto's Guyasuta Fellowship is in its fourth year and in the midst of continued uncertainties over the future of transportation in Pittsburgh and in Pennsylvania, over 20 participating Guyasuta Fellows are focusing on developing recommendations in the important of public policy.

Pittsburgh bridgesBoth Governor Rendell and Chief Executive Dan Onorato have convened advisory committees on transportation funding and planning. With bridges collapsing on area Interstates and the Port Authority approaching yet another funding crisis deadline, the time is ripe for public input and civic leadership on the issue of transportation. In the face of these challenges, this year's Fellowship have worked since May to research the range of issues and engage dozens of experts to become informed citizen leaders and to help lead public discussions and engagement on how we can develop a regional perspective on sustainable transportation funding, planning and prioritization.

WHERE DO YOU FIT IN?
The Guyasuta Fellowship consists of 20 or so people who've taken the time to get informed about these issues. But without you - the citizens of Pennsylvania - our recommendations are just 20 or so folks.

The Citizen's Summit on Transportation is the culmination of what The Fellowship has learned in the past several months. They invite you to join the GUYASUTA BLOG to share your own opinions.
