For eight days in June, a group of Western Pennsylvanians journeyed to the sites of America's Civil Rights struggle. The "Return to the Roots of Civil Rights Bus Tour" covered nearly 2,600 miles, traveling from Beaver Falls to the Deep South.

OnQ Producer Pierina Morelli and Contributing Producer Iris Samson documented the group as they made their way from one Civil Rights milestone to another.
The tour, sponsored by PNC Bank with support from Geneva College, sited seven states, starting in Greensboro, North Carolina, site of the Woolworth lunch counter sit-in.
The Pittsburgh group, ranging in age from 15 to 75, would ultimately see many historic sites, and meet some of the foot soldiers who helped abolish segregation.
