WQED presents the much-anticipated Pittsburgh From The Air II, a follow-up to the 2011 production that took viewers on an aerial sightseeing tour of the Pittsburgh region. While the original program was filmed predominantly in winter and summer, Pittsburgh From The Air II showcases the beauty of Western Pennsylvania in autumn and spring. Highlights include aerial views of the Pittsburgh Marathon, the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, historic covered bridges, Youghiogheny River Lake, Friday night football at several local stadiums, and much more.

An AStar helicopter equipped with the Cineflex V14 (a high-definition gyroscopic camera) captured the stunning images as it swooped over mountains, valleys, rivers, gorges, skyscrapers and towns to showcase the natural beauty of the region. Pennsylvania counties featured include Allegheny, Beaver, Westmoreland, Washington, Fayette, Lawrence and Somerset.
