Quirky Collections Quirky Collections:

Their collections are fun, far-out, fascinating and yes, a little quirky. OnQ contributor Dave Crawley showcases unusual museums and collectors in Western Pennsylvania, including the Bayernhof Museum in O'Hara Township, Hammer Museum and Simpler Times Museum in Forest County, Tyred Wheels Museum, Nifty Fifties Diner and the "Earring Lady" in Venango County.

Pleasantville Collectors - OnQ contributor Dave Crawley visits a small town in Venango County, Pennsylvania where collectors are big! Featured collections: The Tyred Wheels Museum, home of antique cars and 5,000 miniature vehicles; The Earring Lady, with her record-setting collection of 39,000 earrings; The Nifty Fifties Diner, which houses 1950s artifacts including 60,000 45 RPM records.

Simpler Times Museum & Hammer Museum - The people of Forest County have long made a living from timber and oil. These two industries are well represented in the Simpler Times Museum, and a museum devoted to the hammers of our ancestors. OnQ contributor Dave Crawley ties two traditions together on a visit to northwest Pennsylvania.

Bayernhof Museum - In his will, Charles Brown III, founder and chief executive officer of Gas-Lite Manufacturing, directed that his rare automatic musical instrument collection be restored and put on public display inside his home, Bayernhof. This museum in Pittsburgh's O'Hara Township suburb houses many antique pieces, from "monkey" organs to a Knabe Ampico reproducing grand piano. OnQ contributor Dave Crawley takes viewers on a grand tour of this home turned musical museum.
