The Daves journey to the North Side of Pittsburgh and experience the bright and loud Laser shows at the Carnegie Science Center. LASER FLOYD! Then it's an avian adventure at the National Aviary. We peak behind the scenes of Cirque Du Soleil's traveling show "Varekai." And finally, something that has nothing to do with the North Side at all - a visit to the "Up-Side Down Mountain" at West Virginia's Snowshoe Ski Resort.
How many of you know that McDonald's famous 'Big Mac' sandwich was invented in Western Pennsylvania? Well it was, and we're taking you to the Big Mac Museum in North Huntingdon to trace the history of a truly historic burger! Find out what makes the special sauce so special and why the Big Mac could have been called a "Delligatti."

Finally, a "Dave and Dave" episode where you will actually learn something. First off, it's a hard-hitting expose of the 2004 Presidential election with pint-sized pundits. I think that was Bush vs. Kerry. Then it's a trip inside one of the Daves' mom's card club. And you'll also learn unusual trivia about the Thanksgiving holiday and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dave & Dave recently spent some time on the set of the movie "Adventureland" that just wrapped filming in Pittsburgh, and used Kennywood Park as its main set. We chatted up producers, actors and even writer/director Greg Mottola who you may know from his last film, "Superbad". Super cool!

WQED is giving you the chance to see "Pennsylvania's Offbeat Museums with Dave & Dave" as it was intended... in the full beauty of Hi-Definition. So tune in to WQED-HD (13.1) for this special HD-only broadcast!

It's a big show full of cool stuff when Dave & Dave unveil their very own bobbleheads, race as pierogies around PNC Park during a Pirates game, take a ride on Kennywood's evil ride called the Swing Shot, and recreate the Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas using only Mentos mints and diet pop!
Dave & Dave try their hand at a new hobby that involves sharp steel needles, and yes... yarn! Lots of yarn! It's Men's Knitting Night at Natural Stitches in East Liberty and we were there. Find out if we ended up learning how to make fancy sweaters, socks and scarves, or just a messed up ball of yarn!
With Pittsburgh beginning to celebrate its 250th birthday, the Pittsburgh Public Theater commissioned the famed Second City comedy company to have some fun with the place we call home. The result was a show called "Three Rivers Runs Through It." Performances were limited, but due to the magic of videotape and some good timing, Dave & Dave were there to capture the "yuks" aimed squarely at us "yinzers!" Yoi!

It's a half-hour road trip around Pittsburgh's outskirts along the Orange Belt! Stops along the way include the Western PA Model Railroad Museum, Misty Pines dog park, Paskorz's Berry Farm, Beccari's Farm Market, a look at Moon Township and their re-designed golf course, Nesbit's Bowling Lanes and Two Brothers Bar-B-Q! It's a GIANT Dave & Dave Belt Adventure! And don't miss a look inside the demented childhood bedroom of our cameraman and pal, Frank Caloiero!!

Dave & Dave introduce you to some great family-owned places around town. First up, we sample the best chocolate chip cookies ever created at Nancy B's Bakery in Homestead. Then it's off to Cefalo's nightclub - a blast from the past in Carnegie. Later we drink in two of the coolest microbreweries around, the East End Brewery and the North Country brew pub. And finally a quick stop for some hot dogs at Frankfurters in Bellevue. Ooh it's so good!
Sometimes a pharmacy is just a pharmacy... but then maybe you haven't been to Adzema's! Since 1959, the best-kept secret in McCandless has been filling prescriptions and filling up hungry customers at their legendary lunch counter. Think homemade diner food inside the friendliest neighborhood drug store ever... and you may wonder if you're in North Hills or in Mayberry!
The development in Pittsburgh's East Liberty and Shadyside neighborhoods known as "Eastside," has not only given shoppers and residents many new choices, but the revitalization effort has brought back an historic restaurant. Thanks to new owners who are honoring the past, the Station Street Hot Dog & Sandwich Shop is once again serving tasty wieners that reflect the tradition of this once grand eatery.
It's road trip time and someone lends Dave and Dave a 35-foot Winnebago in hopes of finding Pennsylvania's "Little Grand Canyon." Stops include a lumber museum, the Jersey Shore, an actual town called Davidsville, and oh yeah... the Grand Canyon. Land Ho!

The broadcast is LIVE on WTAE from Animal Friends, and South Hills Village Mall on Saturday, March 29th!
This time out it's a loose concept, "Daves throwin' 'em down!" We throw out those pesky New Year's resolutions. We throw some horseshoes with some real ringers. We witness dozens of fearless contestants throw down dozens of hot wings. And finally, we throw some scares around at Kennywood after dark! So throw yourself in front of the TV and play along with this loose concept at home!
When Dave & Dave travel, they stay at the ritziest, most posh accommodations in the place, usually called the Presidential Suite! Check out what the William Penn, Doubletree and Renaissance hotels have to offer for the highest of high rollers!
Dave & Dave offer three exclusive adventures that for one reason or another, never aired on OnQ Magazine. And finally it's a trip to Pittsburgh's largest comic book convention in search of superheroes.
Did you know that Allegheny County has a series of multi-colored belts that surround the city of Pittsburgh? In this episode, the world's least colorblind explorers, Dave & Dave attempt to complete 4 of the 5 belts - the yellow, blue, green and the red. It's a GPS-free, Technicolor roadtrip around and around Allegheny County!
Part of Pittsburgh's 250th celebration involves restoring cool things that honor the past. We'll take you to a Butler County circus unlike any other! The Jay Bee Circus is a miniature model circus that's decades in the making by 90+ WWII veteran, Jimmy Bashline. Soon this hand-made treasure will be on display at the Butler County Heritage Center, but Dave & Dave will have a sneak peek!
The Daves always make time for beer cans, pinball games, and snow tubes. Who doesn't? And if that weren't enough, Dave & Dave meet their match in name... and game... with a trip to Dave & Busters.
See what happens when everyday hobbies are taken to the extreme. Dave & Dave add a little rock & roll to their bowling, crash a backgammon tournament, join Pittsburgh's only traveling steel-tip dart league, and just when you though you saw it all, they go lawn mower racing. Evel Knievel would be proud!
The boys take to the streets to see what people think of our state slogan and the real meaning of St. Patrick's Day. Also Dave & Dave cross over into the psychic realm and try their hand at the Post-Gazette Spelling Bee. And for the record, it's spelled D-A-V-E.
So you've got a few hours on your hands and need something to do. Dave & Dave visit not one, but two unique movie theaters totally unlike your area cineplex. They also board a boat, or is it a bus, or is it a duck? Whatever it is, it is a cool way to see Pittsburgh. Then they wrap things up with a tennis challenge. Men vs. women... or should we say Daves vs. two women pros? Yikes!
With Bucco season underway once again at PNC Park you may be asking what's new? The pierogies still race, the fireworks still fly and the bobbleheads still bobble... but this year there's a special section of seats that entitle you to an all-you-can-eat game! What are they serving and how much are Pirates' fans eating? Dave & Dave get to the bottom of this baseball feast!
As "big digs" go, they don't come much bigger in Pittsburgh than the Port Authority's new North Shore Connector. Dave & Dave got the chance to check out the giant boring machine in action, and go where few have gone before... deep under the Allegheny River!
A show that's all about "Wheels!" The first story goes behind the curtain at the airport to find out what happens to your (2-wheeled) luggage when you check it at the counter and somehow it winds up on your flight. Then it's a one-wheeling adventure with the Wonders unicycle club in Washington County. Up next, the wheels totally come off on the Mellon Arena basketball court when the opponent is the Pittsburgh Steelers! And finally, a new correspondent, Susie Meister joins Dave & Dave for a "wheels flying" look at Pittsburgh's Steel City Derby Demons, an all-female roller derby team.
From the guy who directed "Superbad," comes the next comic blockbuster, "Adventureland!" Dave & Dave recently spent some time on the set of the movie "Adventureland" that just wrapped filming in Pittsburgh, and used Kennywood Park as its main soundstage. We chatted up producers, actors and even writer/director Greg Mottola who you may know from his last film, "Superbad". Super cool!

Since "The Daves" hit the airwaves back in the year 2000, one thing is for sure... Dave & Dave excel like few other TV personalities in the area of bloopers, screw ups, gaffes, flubs and silly on-camera moments! So what better way to celebrate those on-air imperfections than by crafting an entire show full of them! Get ready for Dave & Dave's first-ever, ALL Outtake Show!
As part of Pittsburgh's yearlong celebration of a swell 250 years, Dave & Dave take to the streets (or malls) for a trivia challenge! And not just any trivia challenge... a test of Pittsburgh knowledge pitting regular people against 11 year olds hoping to answer the eternal question once and for all... Are You Smarter Than A Pittsburgh 5th Grader? Also be sure to help control the pet population and have your pet spayed or neutered.
Join Dave & Dave live and in person at the mighty Penn Brewery as we step behind the bar for a few hours of fun called "Bark N' Brew!" Your generous tips not only tell us what great bartenders we are, but the proceeds go directly to Animal Friends to help all of the wonderful dogs and cats that need homes. Helping out a great charity organization while enjoying the best beers in town! A win, win. We look forward to seeing you there!
Just across the state line in a place called Rogers, Ohio lives the tri-state area's largest family-owned flea market and auction. The acres of goods are up for consumption every Friday. Dave & Dave made the trip and soaked up as much local flavor as a half-hour show would allow.
Sometimes a pharmacy is just a pharmacy... but then maybe you haven't been to Adzema's! Since 1959, the best-kept secret where McCandless meets Ross Twp. has been filling prescriptions and filling up hungry customers at their legendary lunch counter.
