Day 1 – Dave, Dave & Frank depart WQED, head north to Titusville to take in the glory of the Caboose Motel.  21 actual caboose rail cars converted into actual motel rooms.  Think the Trump Towers via Amtrak and you might be in the ballpark.  General Manager Chris and one of his crack staff provided us with an excellent interview and help holding the “flex fill,” which is just a fancy word for ’big disc that reflects sunlight’ to make the interview look good.  Just like railroad cars of the 1890′s, these caboose-rooms come complete with phone, internet, coffee makers, full baths and cable TV!  Some of the caboose-cars have skylight windows that they referred to as ”cupolas.”  That sounds pretty exotic… and it was!  And right now they are offering a special offer for only $59 per night.  Sounds like a pretty good deal and as far as hotel rooms go… the price alone would be worth the experience of sleeping under the stars in a caboose!  Believe it or not, Dave or I didn’t make a single caboose joke at all during our shoot.
